2. 27 — To From Art The stairwell at the National Gallery of art Washington D.C. on Sunday
Different cameras do different things. I had a new point-and-shoot yesterday, and it aint like my old point-and-shoot. Every time I took a picture with it in decent light, it went blurry as a drunk on me; so I went with the blur. The National Gallery of Art has a super most excellent film program, and yesterday I wnet to see a bunch of films there: films by Alice Guy-Blache, the first female director in the motion picture industry. She composes her pics real tight, works with perfect light, gives you a more beautiful Montparnasse than Woody Allen does in “Midnight in Paris,” and is funny, not as crazy funny as Groucho Marx, tho. All must see.
