In Light Of View

Last weekend felt like 3-in-1 with time spent in Winchester, Birmingham and then Nottingham over three days. This all revolved around heading to the UK Photography Show with my brother on the Saturday. A write up of this will follow soon, but for the moment I have cherry picked a few of the photos from the weekend for a little focus on cinematic photography.

I’m a big fan of film and cinema and I enjoy reflecting that style in my photography when it fits with the right shot.

It must be noted the new Classic Chrome film simulation on the Fuji X-T1 is fantastic for this kind of look. A homage to Kodak’s Kodachrome Film, the Classic Chrome film simulation creates these wonderful tones, subtly desaturated colours and crisp blacks that now forms the basis of a lot of my post processing. See for yourself below.
