Far from the Madding Crowd (2015)

The film, featuring a screenplay written by David Nicholls, stars Carey Mulligan, Juno Temple, Michael Sheen, Matthias Schoenaerts, Tom Sturridge, and Jessica Barden.

The premise of the film, for anyone that has not read the Hardy novel is set in Victorian England, the independent and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene (Mulligan) attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak (Schoenaerts), a sheep farmer; Frank Troy (Sturridge), a reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood (Sheen), a prosperous and mature bachelor.
